Blotter Privacy Policy

App: Blotter (com.blotterpaint.app) ยท Effective 25 October 2026 (updated for v1.3.0)

Blotter is a watercolor painting app. It is built to work entirely on your device. This policy explains what that means for your information.

Information we collect

None. Blotter does not collect, store on a server, sell or share any personal information. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not contact any server while you use it.

What stays on your device

Purchases

Blotter Studio is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. Google processes the payment under the Google Privacy Policy. Blotter does not see your payment details. It only asks Google Play on your device whether your account owns Studio, and remembers the answer on your phone so Studio works offline.

Exporting and sharing

When you tap Save PNG, Blotter creates the image on your device, places it in the app's temporary cache, and opens Android's share sheet. You choose where it goes, for example Photos, Files, Drive or a messaging app. Whatever you share is then handled by the app you chose, under that app's own privacy policy. Blotter never sends images anywhere by itself.

Permissions

Blotter does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location or photo library. Android lists an internet permission because it is included by the framework the app is built with, but Blotter does not use it.

Children

Blotter does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it collects no information at all.

Changes

If a future version changes how information is handled, this page will be updated and the effective date above will change before that version is released.
